Hearts Aflame Studio is a husband and wife photography team that believes photos should help you remember who you are and Whose you are. We specialize in fine art portraiture that shows the dignity of the human person and his or her innate worth resulting from being made in the image and likeness of the Triune God.

We strive to capture not only the visible beauty and goodness in the person, but also the unique, interior beauty and goodness of their soul. Every aspect of our photography aims to shine a light on the beauty and worth of the people we photograph, from teens and seniors to professionals and families.

Over a 15-year career as a professional photographer, Juan has honed his signature “blended light” style which preserves the most details in a photo while also retaining the subtle look of natural light. It’s the best of both worlds.

We create custom, heirloom quality artwork

We believe photos of you and/or the people you love most should be displayed in a place of honor in your home, not hidden away in some closet or drawer. We are passionate about creating custom artwork that shows the people you love the most so that you can put them front and center in your home. We have found that our clients believe that portrait artwork makes the best home decor.

Over the years, we’ve found very few people actually print their own images despite their best intentions. And when they do print them at a local pharmacy or big box store, the photos rarely print as beautifully as the photographer intended. This is why we chose to stop providing digitals that stay trapped on a cellphone or computer hard drive, and instead decided to serve our clients by providing large print format artwork that will stand the test of time. Because we know you want to share your beautiful artwork on social media, we gift you web-sized digitals of any prints you purchase.

All of our photos are edited on calibrated monitors and printed on archival quality paper (for framed portraits) or on fine art archival canvas.

We are a full-service portrait studio and we guide you from beginning to end, eliminating the guesswork and frustration. First, we take the time to get to know you so we capture photos that show who you are. Then we help pose and direct you during the photo session so that you look your best.
